Psychedelic Rock Trio, East Coast Dirt was founded in 2005, and its core trio was solidified in 2007. For nearly a decade, their primary songwriters Brad Boughton, Wilson Hawes, and Will Little morphed through different lineups, playing countless shows throughout the Southeast.Now the band is returning to old haunts to give crowds a taste of old-school Asheville, NC with a new guitar-led sensibility. The East Coast Dirt sound has been reshaped with original songs and covers ranging from jammy psychedelia to full-force rock.
Rock Academy is an Asheville Music School that teaches Year-Round Rock Band Performance Classes that take our bands out of the classrooms and into Asheville’s music scene, performing a wide variety of musical styles and songs of various genres including blues, classic rock, hard rock, punk, surf, americana and more!
The Asheville Rock Academy’s talented students have played high-profile gigs, including the Main stage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Academy bands have also played with Cliff Williams of AC/DC, Victor Wooten and Roy Wooten of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, guitar shredder Joe Stump and American Idol’s Caleb Johnson. The future of rock is in good hands with these committed musicians and their dedicated teachers!
