Skylar is a singer-songwriter with performance roots in folk music, theater, and choir. With a
voice reminiscent of Joan Baez, she sings tunes that take you back to the 60s. She is a part of the
Asheville Choral Society, but her heart lies in the mysterious, honest, and soulful vicissitudes of
folk music. Her songs contain weaving lyrics of love, nature, and God, as well as people lost at
sea, squirrel eyes, and cigarette butts.
You can find her playing alongside Jesse Valcich in their Jes & Sky duo project and occasionally
singing with the band Strictly Liquid.
