Known for their signature blend of heartfelt melodies, dynamic instrumentation, and nostalgic
yet forward-thinking sound, Night Cap has become one of Texas’s most talked about
independent acts. Formed in Austin in 2017 after meeting at college, the band quickly gained
attention with their breakout debut single Everest, which has since surpassed 3 million
streams. Since then, they’ve built a loyal following through sold-out shows across Texas,
appearances at Austin City Limits, Luck Reunion, Float Fest, and a standout live session with
Audiotree. Along the way, they have shared stages with acts like Dayglow, Mt. Joy, Wilderado,
and Krooked Kings.
Now setting their sights on their upcoming album It’s Happening, Night Cap are embracing
both personal and collective growth. The record marks a bolder, more mature sound; one
that trades youthful idealism for emotional clarity. It offers a dose of reality and a new
perspective, tracing the kind of growth that begins when you stop running from what hurts
and start learning from it.
In vocalist Ryan’s own words, “This album is not about closure, it’s about movement. About
what it takes to keep growing when the past still lingers in the room”.
