Asheville’s psychedelic pioneers The Snozzberries return with the much anticipated 5th Annual Psychedelic Circus on Friday Oct 17th at Asheville Music Hall. This year’s show is bigger and better than ever, with an expanded lineup, live painters and dancers, a trippy costume contest, and the most immersive, phantasmagorical imagery yet!
Kicking off the evening is Denver’s Sqwerv, a nationally touring indie-jam band whose name is quickly rising amongst the festival community. Next up is the legendary mathcore duo Cloutchaser, who’s albums Metallica and Spongebob have garnered a cult following. The prolific Michael Wilbur (Moon Hooch)’s epic saxophone-producer set will make all the booties shake on the dance floor. The Snozzberries will close the night’s festivities with their hi-voltage fusion of prog, rock and soul. After touring the country and writing a full album’s worth of fresh material, their set for the Psychdelic Circus is sure to wow the crowd with new songs and fun surprises exclusive to this event.
In addition to the music, Psychedelic Circus features local painters, artists, dancers and more! This year’s visuals will once again be helmed by Joel Schooling, AKA Character Zero Viz, who’s projections and lasers will transform the Music Hall into a hallucinatory wonderland. Concertgoers can win prizes in the costume contest, amongst other immersive events…even more surprises are in store this year, but the only way to find out is to…be there!
