BIG FUR is a slick, versatile animal of a band that pounces between genres and sounds through elaborate compositions and intense improvisation. The band cultivates an original sound that takes southern rock, country, and bluegrass to its highest dynamic peaks, and most electrifying psychedelic edges.
The quintet formed in late 2023 and quickly generated a large catalogue of diverse original music and uniquely arranged covers. BIG FUR has performed at many celebrated venues and events including The Orange Peel, Salvage Station, The Grey Eagle; North Carolina Folk Festival, AVLFest, and Shakori Hills Festival of Music and Dance.
