Forged through years of crossing paths in the Carolinas music circuit, Andre Lyles and Brandon Phelps are a duo whose connection was years in the making. Individually, both artists built reputations as versatile, in-demand collaborators—Phelps as a dynamic drummer with over 15 years of experience spanning genres and stages, and Lyles as an innovative electric bassist and producer shaping immersive soundscapes rooted in EDM, Hip-Hop, and House. Though they shared stages and moments in passing over time, it wasn’t until recently that something clicked—a creative chemistry that neither could ignore.
Now united, the two channel that spark into a live performance experience that blurs the lines between rhythm section and sonic architecture. Their sets are built in real time through live looping, weaving together drums, bass, synthesizers, and a hybrid of analog and electronic instrumentation. The result is a constantly evolving sound—equal parts groove and atmosphere—where funk, jazz harmony, house energy, and improvisation collide. No two sets are ever the same. They’re built live, never twice.
