Jesse Valcich and Skylar Gowanloch are an American Folk duo drawing inspiration from the beatniks
of the 1960s, psychedelic rock, jam bands, and jazz. They are singers, songwriters, and musicians
seeking to express the existential tug of human experience with their original music. Having traveled
the east coast in the back of their E250 van “Big Stu,” Jes & Sky explore the blend of roots American
genres with a tinge of nomadism, never staying in one place for too long.
You may know Jesse from the band Strictly Liquid as the lead guitar player and vocalist in the band.
Skylar has also been a featured friend in the band as well. Jesse’s soon-to-be-released folk album “I See
You Now in Everything,” featuring Skylar and recorded in the back of their Ford E250 conversion van,
will be available to stream in the winter of 2026 across all platforms along with past releases, “Weird
Year” and “Surrender Into Grace.”
