A six-year Asheville local recently relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida, Adessa Blu is a vocalist, songwriter and producer blending alt-R&B, electronic soul and cinematic pop with emotionally precise songwriting, groove-driven production and more than 15 years of live performance experience.
Formerly performing and releasing as K A T R I N A, her 2026 debut EP GOODGrief opened The Anatomy of Goodbyes, translating the five stages of grief into a narrative of heartbreak, acceptance and learning to carry love differently.
Now returning to Asheville as Adessa Blu, she enters a new chapter both artistically and academically. Recently accepted into Berklee College of Music’s graduate Interdisciplinary Music Studies program and joining AWAL (Sony) for her upcoming Adessa Blu catalog, her next project, MUSEic, shifts the story from loss toward attraction, autonomy, self-perception and becoming your own muse.
