The Steppers are a fast-picking, hard-driving, mind-bending psychedelic string band from
Oklahoma City, OK. Blending bluegrass roots with the freewheeling energy of improvisational
rock, funk, and folk, the trio of Theran Lantz (mandolin & vocals), Jake Tobey (guitar & vocals),
and Zach Bozeman (bass & vocals) have built a sound that gleefully ignores genre lines while
honoring the traditions that inspired them. Always on the road, the band takes pride in their live
performances and has played festivals like Hillberry and Outer Banks Bluegrass Festival and
has shared the stage with other accomplished acts like Arkansauce, Front Porch, and Remedy
Tree. With a sound that stretches from tender to ferocious, they weave sharp songwriting with
adventurous and shapeshifting musicianship that refuses to sit still.
