Carson Moore Bio
Carson Moore is a progressive banjo player based between Asheville NC and Boston MA. Having worked with greats such as Bela Fleck, Mike Stern, Leftover Salmon, Keller Williams, Jeff Sipe and many others Moore is striving to establish banjo as a permanent presence in the world of jazz fusion. Playing both acoustic and electric banjo Moore is a pioneer of the instrument, being one of the first banjoist to fully delve into the world of Electric music. Moore is currently studying at the renowned Berklee College of Music on a presidential scholarship. Moore’s current touring projects consist of Lotus Feet, an exciting Acoustic Quartet paying tribute to Shakti (John Mclaughlin’s Indian Fusion Group), and an electric Fusion trio with drumming legend Jeff Sipe.
