The Dan Clare Collective brings a genre-blending mix of roots, soul, fingerstyle
fusion, and pocket grooves to the stage. With guitarist Dan Clare at the
helm—known for his dynamic originals and imaginative covers of artists like the
Beatles, Grateful Dead, Paul Simon, and Duke Ellington—the group layers
intricate arrangements with jam-inspired energy and unexpected turns. Backed
by Asheville drummer Damon Miklowcic, and a pedalboard’s worth of sonic color,
their sets move seamlessly from heartfelt ballads to danceable deep cuts.
Based in Asheville, N.C., Clare has been performing locally since 2016, first with
The Berlyn Trio and the Asheville 8-String Collective. Now, with a rotating cast
of collaborators, he performs as The Dan Clare Collective—a solo, duo, or trio
project that’s equally at home in listening rooms, breweries, or festival stages.
