Sunnyside Stringband is an up-and-coming collaboration of top notch pickers born out of the musical community in Asheville, NC. Florida-born songstress, Sunnie Rae sews her songs in the fertile soils of Appalachia. Bringing life to her Original Music and timeless covers, this super-string ensemble bends and mends the genre-fitting confinements, playing each tune to its own. Joining Sunnie Rae in her endeavors of songwriting and live performance, this Stringband features Asheville local Mark Schimick (mandolin) along with Brian McPherson (guitar) & Steffans Hardin (upright bass) from Atlanta, GA. Often with Special Guest appearances from local, regional, and national touring musicians.
